Material: Silicone Hydrogel
Silicone hydrogel is a material composed of polymers with an affinity for water, that is to say, many large molecules joined together. Silicone hydrogels are the latest breakthrough achieved in increasing oxygen permeability (greater comfort, longer wear time, and better eye health), wettability, and performance of contact lenses.
Silicone has a higher oxygen permeability than water, which allows more oxygen to pass through, so oxygen permeability is no longer associated with the amount of water in the lens.
This means that the material always keeps the eye oxygenated and therefore there will always be comfort and eye health, we avoid diseases such as dry eye and discomfort from wearing the lens.
Control of aberrations
Optical aberrations are imperfections in the eyes that can affect the quality of vision. they occur when a wavefront that reaches the cornea is refracted in an irregular or distorted way, causing different symptoms, they can be: blur, lack of sharpness and contrast, and double or blurred vision.
Therefore, as the eye is not perfect, we all have some degree of aberration, and it is common for the same person to have several types of aberrations.
There are low order and high order aberrations. Low-order aberrations are myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Among the most common higher order aberrations are Spherical Aberrations, Trefoil, and coma.
